Phantasy Star Online 2 has been celebrating their successful 9 million players milestone with a new Genesis teases and Halloween event.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, but SEGA has delivered today. The firm streamed a new task pass, new quest type, Halloween event, and the newest class, the Bouncer, this morning.
“Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis has now received the long-awaited Bouncer class! The Bouncer is a quick and highly competent mid-air combatant that excels in close to mid-range combat with both Photon Arts (PA) and Techniques. Soaring Blades and Jet Boots are the Bouncer’s preferred weapons. Deirdre in Central City can teach you how to manage your new weaponry. Before you go, keep in mind that Jet Boots are the only weapon that can take on the aspect of a Technique, and Soaring Blades may create variants of the same attacks!”
The Bouncer, Mission Pass, and Battledia quest types will all be available on October 13th, while the Halloween event will begin on October 27th and run until November 24th; players will “earn Seasonal Currency from completing limited-time tasks and defeating seasonal enemies, and use it to purchase rewards like new stamps, Mag Forms, and more,” and “Central City and the open world will be transfored.”
